Is it Mandatory to mention Director or Company Secretary Address?
As per the Companies Act, 2013 we have to mention DIN No. of Director or Membership no. of professional and complete address. Is it mandatory?
As per provisions of Section 398 of Companies Act, 2013 and Rule 7 of Chapter 24 (Registration Offices and Fees) of Companies Act, 2013: it is mandatory to mention Name, Designation, address and membership number or Director Identification Number with every documents which is required to be filed to the department under this Companies Act.
Rule states that - “Provided also that any correspondences (physically or electronically) and documents to be filed by any person shall contain name, designation, address, membership number or Director Identification Number, as the case may be, of the person signing such document and make sure correctness thereof and in no case, correspondence, merely with signature and writing authorised signatory shall be acceptable”
